Fake Prasadam racket busted at Tirumala
Tirumala: Ramana, an outsourced employee of TTD was arrested on Thursday for selling spurious prasadam to the devotes.Following complaints that he was selling spurious prasadam, the employee was arrested frin his residence at Tiruchanur. He was making 'Jalebi Prasadam'at his home.
This is the first case of Jalebi Prasadam, though there were some cases of fake laddu prasadams, said an official.
In January, the police arrested an employee for trying to sell 108 laddu tokens. In December, last year, a TTD employee was apprehended for misappropriating 60000 laddus.
