A counterfeit currency with a face value of Rs 7 lakh was seized from the accused

Hyderabad: An inter-state fake currency racket was busted by task force officials on Monday and a counterfeit currency with a face value of Rs 7 lakh was seized from them.

The accused SK Ghouse of Hyderabad, Md Kaimul Haque and Saleem Miya of West Bengal have been arrested by the sleuths of the Commissioner's Task Force (East Zone) at Chaderghat.

The fake currency was found to be of high quality and was suspected to be printed in Malda

"Haque and Miya came to Hyderabad after procuring Rs 7 lakh fake currency from his contacts. When they were handing over the fake currency to Gouse the police team nabbed them," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police N Koti Reddy said.
