Fake 'Akhil Akkineni' arrested

Hyderabad: Even before his first film is released, Akhil Akkineni is facing the problem of fakes.

A youth, who posed as Akhil Akkineni tried to dupe young girls and got knocked down in the process.

A fraudster by name Abhinav tried to lure girls posing as Akhil Akkineni. He created fake Facebook and Twitter accounts and tried to hook girls. Abhinav posed as Akhil and began responding to friends requests and started chatting with the girls. He duped female fans and borrowed money from them.
However, the imposter had his comeuppance when a girl suspected him and wanted to meet him. When he asked her for money, she grew suspicious and informed her brother. He tracked Abhinav down. When they came together, she and her brother thrashed the fake Akhil.. The police registered a case and are investigating.
