‘Facebook’ comment takes a life in Hyderabad

A Class IX student who shared a derogatory comment against his classmate on his Facebook page, was allegedly murdered by a group of minors on Saturday. 

According to reports, Gotte Praveen, a Class IX student at Nagarjuna Model School was beaten to death by his friends. 

The incident took place under LB Nagar police limits. Police said that Praveen posted a derogatory remark against his classmate on the social networking site. Irked over the post, the student and his friends followed Praveen and his friend on roads and accosted them at an isolated place. They beat Praveen and his friend brutally. A Passerby rushed Praveen to a near by hospital where he was declared brought dead. 

Police registered a case and the investigation is on.
