Ex Ministers fail to pay Rs 24 lakh power bill, supply cut

Ministers who tend to forget their promises with regard to infrastructural developments, on Wednesday had a bitter taste of their own medicines.  

Officials of electricity department have cut off the power supply to minister's quarters at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad, after the ministers failed to pay bills. 

Notwithstanding the scorching heat, and rising temperatures, former ministers of  Kiran Kumar Reddy's cabinet will have to stay without any respite. 

The electricity supply was shutdown in the quarters after the ministers failed to pay bills.  According to reports, the former ministers have to pay Rs 24 lakh. The officials said that they will not give supply till they pay the due amount.

It is remains to be seen whether the ministers will go back to their own homes, or stay at the quarters till night.
