Ex-GM Of Tata Motors Jumps From 15th Floor Of Building

Mumbai: Former executive of Tata Motors committed suicide by jumping off the 15th floor of the building in Parel on Friday after he lost the job in the company.

According to the police, Prashant Sibal (43), was residing at Kalpataru Habitat in Parel along with his family. He lost his job as a general manager in sales in Tata Motors in April. Since then he went into depression and he would mostly confine himself to a room thinking about the future of his children. On Friday morning he jumped off from the 15 floor of his building. A suicide note was found in his hand stating, "No one is responsible for my death, I am taking the extreme step as I was in depression." He was immediately shifted to KEM hospital in Mumbai where he declared brought dead.

Sibal's wife told police that he was being treated for depression at PD Hinduja Hospital since April. The reason for the suicide is might be depression, a police officer said.

The police registered a case and recovered the suicide note.
