Ex-corporator murdered in Anantapur

In a shocking incident reported on Tuesday, former corporator Rama Krishna Reddy was brutally murdered by unknown persons with sharp weapons near National Park in Anantapur District. 

He  died on the spot.

Political rivalry was said to be the reason for the murder. The police have register a case and are investigating.

Rama Krisha was elected as an independent candidate from division 41 in the last elections.

Just a day earlier, the  police registered an attempt to murder case against late TDP leader Paritala Ravi's son Sriram and several others, after the accused who was arrested by police revealed that they planned to murder Congress leader Sudhakara Reddy.

The two incidents have created tension in the district which was peaceful for some years.
