Ex CM decides to stay away from Assembly?
The 2014 elections have thrown up many an interesting development. Now, for the first time in state history, a party chief himself has decided against contesting for the assembly elections.
Jai Samaikyandhra Party president and former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy decided to not to contest this elections.
Reportedly, Kiran was to file his nomination from his home town of Peeleru in Chittoor district on Saturday. But at the last minute he decided to not to contest.
Instead, his brother Kishore Kumar Reddy has filed nomination from Pileru Assembly constituency.
As per reports, Kiran decided not to contest as he wanted to involve himself complete in campaigning.
However, many are taken aback by this sudden decision of the former chief minister. They feel that Kiran not contesting, in spite of being the party chief, is a demotivating move and sends wrong signals to party cadre.
Is Kiran hesitant to now sit as an MLA, after being the Chief Minister of the state?
