Etela Rajender’s Non-Veg Feast In OU Kicks Up Row 

Hyderabad: Celebrating his son's wedding on Sunday, Telangan Finance Minister Etela Rajender invited 2,000 Osmania University students for a non-vegetarian feast prepared in the premises of E-hostel. However, the students turned it down saying that it was an insult for them for not being invited to the wedding ceremony and throw away non-veg food supplied to them.

Some of the students found the invitation insulting. The invitation which was circulated on WhatsApp and Facebook reads OU students are invited for non-vegetarian meal at the E hostel.

Meanwhile, a source close to Etela Rajender said that the non-veg meal was prepared in university premises on the request of TRS student leader Anjaneya Goud. A total of 3,000 invitation cards were sent to OU students. However, the TRS leader said that the non-veg meal prepared on OU campus to the students is just an added gesture from the Minister.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao along with Ministers and TRS leaders, netas from all the political parties, celebrities attended Etela son Nitin's marriage on Sunday.
