Prabhas Saaho Milestones: One Film, So Many Records!

That Saaho got a massive opening at the box office is no news anymore. What's news is the fact that Telugu Rebel star Mahesh Babu has dethroned Superstar Mahesh Babu. Yes. What you read is right. Thanks to Saaho, the film has surpassed 2019's greatest hit Maharshi which was a social drama and became a runaway hit at the box office.

Did you know, after Baahubali 1 and 2, Saaho is the highest grossing Telugu film in TFI. Sujeeth's directorial venture Saaho hit theatres last week. The film got a thumbs down from critics including Taran Adarsh who called it a colossal failure. However, the makers continued with their promotions post release by releasing posters whenever the film achieved a new milestone at the box office thereby drawing crowds to theatres.

Both Sujeeth and Prabhas too did their jobs by sharing thank you notes on their social media pages requesting the audience to watch the movie.

Produced by UV Creations, Saaho was made on a lavish budget of a whopping Rs 350 crores. The film did brisk pre-release business too. On Day 1 itself, Saaho racked up a massive Rs 126 crores making it the second biggest opener. That's not it. Prabhas has another milestone to his credit. He is the inly hero to features in all the highest grossing movies. Now, his latest outing Saaho has pipped Mahesh's Maharshi to become the highest Telugu grosser released this year (2019) in just three days after its release. Besides creating records in Nellore and Nizam areas, Saaho also joined the 100 crore club with its worldwide collections.

What more? After Tamil superstar Rajinikanth Prabhas is the only actor to star in 300 crore movies.
