If Hollywood Has Mission Impossible, Indian Cinema Has Saaho

Pan India superstar Prabhas starrer Saaho is one of the highly anticipated movies of the year. After enthralling fans with the magnum opus Baahubali, Prabhas has become an icon for the fans across the world. Now, with Saaho, the buzz surrounding Prabhas has reached to new heights. With the backdrop of a futuristic theme, Saaho promises to present Prabhas in a never-seen-before action-packed avatar.

Saaho is an action entertainer and is being termed as the most expensive Indian film. With renowned international stunt choreographer Kenny Bates roped in for Saaho, the expectations are riding high for this movie. Kenny Bates' credits include movies like Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Pearl Harbor, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and The Fast and the Furious.

The action sequences are building a lot of hype among the fans, who are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie. According to the reports, one of the action scenes from Saaho will be filmed on the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. Saaho is the second Indian film to get permission to shoot at the building which stands 2732 ft. high, after Welcome Back. The first film to have any stunts based on the building was Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol which had Tom Cruise legit hung outside the windows of Burj Khalifa for a scene. Now, the fans are eager to watch which death-defying stunt Prabhas would pull off for the movie.

Saaho is the seventh major Indian movie to be shot in Abu Dhabi which has also hosted major productions such as Furious 7, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Mission: Impossible – Fallout.

The ongoing Dubai schedule will include the shoot of a 20-minute action sequence at Burj Khalifa. Prabhas will be involved in the longest chase sequence ever showcased in the history of Indian cinema. Being shot under the supervision of the Hollywood stunt director, the 20-minute action sequence is being hyped as one of the biggest highlights of the film involving myriad automobiles like cars, bikes, and trucks.

With a budget of around Rs 200 crore, the makers are spending the majority of the budget on the extravagant action scenes.

Looks like the makers are leaving no stone unturned to deliver Saaho with all the action elements while giving a tough competition to the Hollywood action flicks.

Actress Damini Chopra who is making her debut with the movie told Indiatimes that Saaho will be as big as Mission Impossible. The fans seem to agree as well as Saaho is being considered the Mission Impossible for Indian Cinema.


Prabhas shares space with Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is making her debut in Telugu with Saaho. Directed by Sujeeeth, Saaho will release on the occasion of Independence Day, i.e. August 15. Being produced by UV Creations, Saaho is being shot as a trilingual in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
