Gully Boy Telugu Remake: Vijay Deverakonda To Reprise Ranveer’s Role?

Looks like remakes are the flavours of the season. It has become common for filmmakers to remake the films be it Hindi or Telugu. Whichever movies pay rich dividends at the box office, that film will be on cards either to remake in Telugu or Hindi. The latest report reveals that a Telugu remake of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Gully Boy’ is being said to be on the cards. 'Gully Boy' was the second hit of this year in Bollywood and emerged as a massive hit at the box office.

A little birdie tells us that Tollywood sensation star Vijay Deverakonda is likely to reprise the role of Ranveer Singh in the Telugu remake. If Vijay Deverakonda really reprises the role of rapper in 'Gully Boy', his fans and audience would definitely encourage him to do the film. Vijay Deverakonda fits the bill perfectly as a lover boy. The Telugu remake rights have been acquired by a popular and reputed production house. Although, there is no official confirmation regarding the same.

In the meantime, Vijay Deverakonda is currently busy with his next titled 'Dear Comrade'. It was supposed to release in May but it got postponed to June to give breath spacing for Suriya's 'NGK. You might wonder? What is the connection between Suriya's film with Deverakonda? 'Dear Comrade' is originally made in Telugu but will be dubbed into Tamil and other languages. In a bid to avoid box office clash with Suriya at Chennai ticket counters 'Dear Comrade' release has been postponed.
