Piracy Site Tamil Rockerz Screening New Movies Could Be Blocked Completely
Chennai: President of Tamil Nadu Film Producers' Council (TFPC) actor Vishal has taken up the issue of film piracy seriously especially with regard to a notorious piracy website called Tamil Rockers. Speaking to reporters after meeting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, he was asked about the fate of Tamil films being leaked on the website.
In answer to that, he said that if there was any entity to stop this piracy then it was the state government.He said that the state government was akin to God and only they had the capacity to eliminate piracy which he had left it in their hands.He said that they had already issued a petition and hoped that an order against piracy would be soon passed by them.
Vishal also said that the TFPC filed a complaint against government buses illegally playing the newly released movies."If the centre has the power to block adult sites, then Tamil Rockers and other piracy sites can also be eliminated. We have done our best and it is now in the hands of the government to put an end to piracy," the actor reiterated. The Tamil actor also asserted that the credit of bringing Music directors Ilayaraja and A R Rahman together on a stage goes to Parthipan. It was up to him whether he wanted to attend the felicitation ceremony of Ilayaraja, he added further. When asked about the profits from the program, he said that they were still checking the accounts and once the tallly was done they would call a press meet and announce the profits. Talking about the Nadigar Sangham Office building he said that it was almost complete except for the Function Hall and that they would conduct the inauguration of the building in the month of July, he concluded.
