Telugu Film Producers Fume At Sankranti Competition From Tamil Movies
Tollywood A-list actors Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, Balakrishna, Jr NTR among others always aim to release their movies on festival days. They announce their movies six months before its release as to lock the dates save date to avoid clash at the box office. Long back in last year, Telugu actors Ram Charan's Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Balakrishna's NTR Kathanayakudu and Venkatesh's F2 have locked dates of their movies this year Sankranthi.It is clearly understood there is a big problem for theatre count for Telugu movies.
Latest news doing the rounds is that Rajinikanth's Petta has become a threat for Telugu Sankranthi release. One of the videos about theatre discussion between Dil Raju and Petta distributors has gone viral on social media. Petta distributors are believed to have said that these producers are born with theatres. Dil Raju owns most of the theatres in Nizam and Uttarandhra regions and come out to make some sensational comments on other movies.
"We Producers and distributors of Vinaya Vidheya Rama, F2 and NTR Biopic are struggling to find enough theatres for telugu movies whose releases were decided long back. Now with Petta being announced one month back to release on Sankranthi, there are not enough theatres for Telugu movies how can we adjust theatres for other language movies. There appears to be a rift in Telugu film producers about theatres distribution. Take a look at the tweet which caught our attention.
