With the year 2018 just gone by it has been a great year for Bollywood stars in terms of movie collections. Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju turned out to be the highest grossing Hindi films of last year i.e 2018. Deepika-Ranveer's Padmavati is the second movie close behind Sanju among the highest grossing films of 2018.

Among the remaining 11 Bollywood Hindi films that cruised past the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office are Thugs of Hindostan, Race 3, Sonu Ke Tweety Ki Sweety, Raid, Baaghi 2, Raazi, Gold, Stree, Badhaai Ho, 2.0 and the latest entry to the club is Ranveer Singh's, Simmba.

Other movies like Andhadhun, Tumbbad and October failed to create magic at the box office. Though these movies have managed to win people's hearts with their content, they could not make the moolah at the ticket window. Shah Rukh Khan's Zero was also a big shocker for his fans in 2018 as it tanked at the box office. The movie was rejected by all age groups and people. The trailer and teaser of the movie were impressive and promising but the content of the movie failed to live up to audiences expectations. Zero turned out to be the biggest flop in SRK's career.

By seeing the charts of 100 Cr movies of last year(2018), looks like audiences are demanding content driven movies to watch in their free time. Now, it remains to be seen how filmmakers are going to impress movie buffs this year with various movies which are lined up to kick start box office collections of 2019.
