Kannada actor Yash-starrer KGF:Chapter 1 is killing it at the Box Office this Christmas eve, especially when it comes to its Hindi version. From collecting Rs 2.10 crore on release day (Friday), the film grossed Rs 4.10 crore on Sunday. Although the period drama faced hiccups in the form of Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan's Zero on the release day, it could be now concluded that Yash matched SRK at the Hindi Box Office.

Meanwhile, the Kannada film earned a whopping Rs 37.14 crores domestically, in the first two days. Now that KGF is gaining momentum as we near the New Year, Yash will in all probability launch himself as the new Prabhas from the South Indian film industry.

Popular critic Taran Adarsh was impressed with the consistent performance of the Yash-starrer in Bollywood. Check out his tweet...

Entertainment industry tracker Ramesh Bala felt that the positive review for the film was the reason behind the increasing number of screens in Tamil Nadu. On the other side of the globe in USA, the film crossed $300K at the Box Office, becoming the fastest Kannada film to do so.



Before the film's release, critics estimated the first week collection of Rs 35 crore. The Kannada film, which was released in five languages and raked in Rs 37 crores in Karnataka alone. KGF's producer Vijay Kiragandur should be pleased with the numbers as of now. Directed and written by Prashanth Neel, Srinidhi Shetty and Anantnag are the star actors who shared the screen along with Yash. A special song with Tamannaah Bhatia is the highlight of KGF: Chapter 1.
