Actor Gayathri Describes Drunk-Driving Rumours As False

Perambur: Popular Tamil actress Gayathri Raghuram said she is “ not scared of any such rumors” following news reports that she was caught drunk driving in the Adayar area of Chennai. It is also said that a fine of Rs 3,500 was levied upon by her. Responding to the news, Gayathri took to Twitter to clarify on this issue. She tweeted that false news is being spread about her, and that her self-respect and life were more important to her.

She said--"The truth about the incident is that I dropped the other co-actors home, after the shoot and was driving alone to my place. Traffic police who were checking the vehicles stopped me.  I could not produce my driver’s license and other documents as they were in another pocket. How can police allow me to drive when I am drunk," she added.  Gayathri observed that she was not bothered about any misleading news being spread about her.
