Sarkar Day 7 Collections

A still from the movie - Sakshi Post

Sarkar Day 7 Collections: Director AR Murugadoss's latest offering Sarkar has broken the records of Vijay's previous films within one week of its release. Sarkar opened in theatres on November 6. The film has kept the cash registers ringing at the box office.

Despite political backlash, there is no footfall in theatres. Thanks to its powerful content, hard-hitting dialogues and amazing performance of lead actors Vijay and Keerthy Suresh, Sarkar is on a roll.

Sarkar was released alongside Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan. Guess what? Sarkar is dominating Thugs of Hindostan in domestic as well as international markets. Sarkar is all set to emerge as Diwali winner of 2018. According to film critic Umair Sandhu of UAE Censor Board, Sarkar has become a biggest hit than Thugs of Hindostan which had released amid much hype and expectations.

Sarkar has managed to collect Rs 215 crores in seven days at the ticket window. Check out this tweet posted by Umair Sandhu:

Sarkar is a chronicle of an NRI Sundar Ramaswamy who fights to cast his vote to change the fate of Tamil Nadu elections. The film is inching towards touching the Rs 250 Crore mark and it could achieve this feat anytime soon going by the increasing collections at the ticket window. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the music has been composed by AR Rahman.
