Will Stop Acting After I Become CM: Vijay At Sarkar Audio Launch

Vijay At Sarkar Audio Launch - Sakshi Post

Chennai: Kollywood actor aka Illayathalapathy Vijay hinted at taking a plunge into politics. He made a statement to this effect during the audio launch of his upcoming film Sarkar directed by AR Murugadoss. The audio release function was held here at Sairam Engineering College on Tuesday.

In his lengthy speech at the occasion, Vijay made it amply clear to the fans that he would like to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu some day.

Adding fuel to comments made by his father SA Chandrasekhar, the actor said that if he becomes the Chief Minister, he won’t just act like one, but will do his job with sincerity. However, Vijay denied playing the role of a CM in Sarkar.

"I will root out corruption in the State if I become the CM. People may contest in the elections to form government but we (the audience) have already formed our Sarkar and now we will contest in the elections," he said during the audio launch.

Vijay compared Sarkar to his last year's hit Mersal saying Sarkar will be another Mersal with regard to politics. Responding to the cheering audience, he tried to clear the air saying he was talking about the film and not politics.
