Vijay Deverakonda Rejected Maniratnam’s Nawab Over Remuneration?

Vijay Deverakonda  - Sakshi Post

Vijay Deverakonda is riding high on the success of his recently released Geetha Govindam which was declared a commercial hit at the box office. Deverakonda has become a competitor to some of the Tollywood stars. Top directors are looking forward to work with him after he delivered three blockbuster hits such as Geetha Govindam, Arjun Reddy and Pelli Choopulu.

If reports doing the rounds are anything to go by, Deverakonda has rejected Kollywood Top Director Mani Ratnam's film Nawab. It is a known fact that it is every actor's dream to work with Mani Ratnam as he is one of the most talent directors and all his films go on to become hits.

The buzz in the social media is that the makers of Nawab had approached Deverakonda to play a key role in the film. However, the latest we hear is that Deverakonda rejected the offer due to remuneration issues. On other hand, there are reports that perhaps the actor was not happy with the role he got.

Looks like Deverakonda is following the footprints of Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra. Reports suggest that Priyanka Chopra walked out from Salman Khan's Bharat as her role wasn't central to the plot as the film features other actors like Disha Patani and Tabu.

Recently, Priyanka completed shooting for the first schedule of The Sky Is Pink which is being directed by Shonali Bose. She then jetted off to a foreign country to spend quality time with Nick Jonas.

Did Deverakonda reject Mani film due to his role or remunerations? Or didn't he have call sheet? We are not sure about it. An official confirmation about the same is awaited.

Deverakonda will be next seen in Taxiwala which is likely to be released on the occasion of Dasara. If Deverakonda's Taxiwala releases on Dasara it could have box office clash with NTR's Aravinda Sametha. Watch this space for more.
