Director Rajamouli's Baahubali is coming back as series on Netflix. Recently, the ArkaMedia Works made an official announcement on Baahubali prequel.

We already know that Rajamouli's Baahubali-The Beginning and Baahubali-The Conclusion created a storm at the box office, which turned out to be one of the biggest Indian hits ever.

The Netflix prequel is called Baahubali—Before the Beginning and it revolves around The Rise of Sivagami's Mahishmati kingdom. Now, having said this, it's easy to figure out what the story will be all about. The two-part Baahubali web series will revolve around the life of Baahubalis' mother Sivagami (Ramya Krishna).

Baahubali: Before the Beginning will have nine episodes in the first season, which is based on the aforementioned 2017 book by writer Anand Neelakantan. This (prequel) series captures Queen Sivagami’s journey from a rebellious and vengeful girl to a wise and unequalled queen.

If this series becomes a hit like Baahubali then there are chances that Baahubali could be made on the lines of Game of Thrones. Speculation doing the rounds suggest that the makers might not showcase Prabhas character in the series as it is all about the Mahishmati Kingdom. Will they sideline Prabhas in the series? Will the series have one episode each on every character like-Kattappa, Amarendar Baahubali, and Devesena? If that be the case, the makers will focus more on the Kingdom than lead actors—Prabhas and Rana? Now, the question is if it can hold the attention of the viewers.

They have clearly mentioned that it is a Baahubali prequel where Prabhas as Amarendar Baahubali could be seen as Child in the series. So his childhood, learning of martial arts, his ascension to the throne will probably be part of the film.

Ever since Netflix announced the series, fans can't wait to watch prequel of Baahubali.

Deva Katta (Prassthanam) and Praveen Sataru (Guntur Talkies) will co-direct the series. An official word about cast and crew details are yet to be revealed. Watch this space for more.
