Rangasthalam Breaks Pokiri, Kushi Records

In the present days, it is not easy for any film to have a long run at the box office, be Tollywood or Bollywood. If you recall the first quarter of 2018 saw the release of films of A listers—Salman Khan's Race 3, Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi and Rajinikanth's Kaala. These films failed to garner the love of moviebuffs and attention from audiences as well as critics.

But one film did fantastic business at the worldwide box office. It is none other than Ram Charan's Rangasthalam which emerged as a blockbuster hit and become a profitable venture in Cherry's career. On the other hand, Ram Charan's Rangasthalam has achieved a rare feat surpassing Power star Pawan Kalyan and Superstar Mahesh Babu films. And mind you, these are not new films. We are referring to Pawan Kalyan's Khushi and Mahesh Babu's Pokiri which had created a new record in its single theatre run. The Pawan film held the distinction of being the highest grossers in single theatres for more than a decade in Krishna while Mahesh held the same record in Nizam area. These films were all-time superhits at the box office. But now, Cherry's Rangasthalam has surpassed records set by both these films in terms of single theatre run.

According to sources, Ram Charan's Rangasthalam has also broken Baahubali records in few areas.

To be honest, it is rare feat for Rangasthalam to achieve such heights by beating several records after the completion of two months.

On the career front, Ram Charan is busy with the shoot of his next flick which is being helmed by Boyapati Srinu who had delivered blockbuster hits Balakrishna's Legend and Allu Arjun's Sarrainodu. Recently, the filmmakers released the first look poster which has received a thumpng response from the audiences and critics. Watch this space for more.
