Engineering Student’s Mysterious Death Triggers Protests In Vizag

Vizag: Engineering student Pradeep's mysterious death on Tuesday triggered protests in Vizag. The deceased's family is joined by students and general public when they staged a dharna on the national highway at Aganampudi with the body. Pradeep's family alleged that Sai and Chinna are responsible for the death and demanded their arrest.

Pradeep was abducted by unknown persons on Oct 28 at Kashimkota when he and his friend were eating chat on their way to college. The friend informed Pradeep's parents that rowdysheeter Sai and Chinna abducted him in a car. Though his partents complained to the police the next day, no action was taken. On Monday, the body of Pradeep was found on the shore of river Sharada in Anakapally.

According to family and friends, Pradeep was moving closely with a girl from his college and that could be the reason for the murder. However, police have not made any arrests so far. He was a student of BTech at Avanthi Engineering College.

Traffic on the highway came to a standstill since morning with the family sitting on the road with the body of the deceased demanding the arrest of the accused. Chinna and Sai have close relation with several TDP leaders in the city.
