Engineering Students Arrested For Dacoity In Brothels

Hyderabad: Seven members of a gang including six engineering students who allegedly indulged in dacoity at brothel houses here have been arrested, Cyberabad Police said on Friday.

Prime accused B Ranga Raju, a businessman, hatched a plan along with the other accused M V Vamshi Kiran, M Nagendra Babu, T Sai Kiran, K Pranith Reddy, D Saiteja, Y Sri Teja Reddy (all BTech students). Their modus operand was to go to brothel houses posing as customers and allegedly robbing cash, cell phones and other valuables from the customers, mediators and call girls besides collecting ATM cards.

They also used to take photographs/videos of the customers and call girls and threatened them not to give any complaints against them or else they would post such photos/videos on social media sites, a police official said. Following a complaint, Raju and six other engineering students were arrested from Miyapur area and during interrogation, the accused confessed that they committed similar offences in different localities under Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits.
