Eluru: Mystery shrouds MLC candidate's death

An independent candidate contesting the MLC elections died under mysterious circumstances in Eluru.

Avaladasu Durga Prasad, who was contesting from the graduates constituency of both Godavari districts, died in the wee hours of Tuesday. The mysterious death has created panic in the district.

There's a lot of speculation surrounding the person's death. While some claim it was a planned murder, another section of the village say Durga Prasad died of cardiac arrest.

The family members of the MLC candidate has lodged a police complaint. The police has registered a case of unnatural death and began investigations.
