Elephants damage tomato crop in Chittoor


A herd of elephants created rampage on tomato crop in Gudipalli mandal of Chittoor district.

The crop in 10 acres was completely damaged as the elephants combed the entire field. The villagers are on the night vigil for the past one week to drive away the elephants using trumpets. But, the elephants ruined their crops in the night. Complaints to forest officials several times to save their crops yielded no result, said the villagers.
