zindagi shayad isi ka naam hai

dooriyaN, majbooriyaaN, tanhaaiyaaN

ज़िंदगी शायद इसी का नाम है

दूरियाँ, मजबूरियाँ, तनहाइयाँ

Kaif Bhopali was one of the most popular poets at Mushairas in recent years. He was a master of simple expression and novel turn of phrase. Kaif also wrote for films.

His other shair from the same Ghazal, is another fine example of his simple approach:

'kaif' paida kar samandar ki tarah

vus'ateiN, KhamoshiyaN, gehraaiyaaN

कैफ़ पैदा कर समंदर की तरह

वुसतें, ख़ामोशियाँ , तनहाईयां
