ED notice, part of a conspiracy: YS Vijayamma - Sakshi Post

The Enforcement Directorate's attachment order on properties worth Rs. 51 crores belonging to Janani Infrastructure Pvt Ltd., and Jagati Publications Ltd., on the eve of Kadapa MP and YSR Congress Party President's bail petition at the Supreme Court tomorrow plainly shows the malafide intent of the Union government, said YS Vijayamma, Honorary President of the YSR Congress Party.

Addressing the media along with YS Bharathi, her daughter-in-law and her daughter, Sharmila, she expressed shock at the unholy haste shown in issuing the attachment order within two hours of a meeting between TDP Members of Parliament and the Union Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram. The MPs passed on Chandrababu Naidu's letter to Chidambaram seeking the attachment order, Vijayamma said, indicating that there was a clear nexus between the TDP and the ruling Congress.
She said that people all over the world were praying for the release of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The ED's charge that some companies had benefited to the extent of Rs. 22 crores and had invested Rs. 29 crores in Jagan's companies shows how ridiculous the entire case is. She added that even a lay man could see the vindictive nature of the investigation.
Vijayamma pointed out that each time Jagan's bail petition came up for hearing, the CBI filed supplementary chargesheets. The investigating agency changed its counsel and a canard was spread that it was done as a part of a deal. When the petition came up for hearing on Friday last, the CBI sought more time and now, on the eve of the petition coming up for hearing, the ED has been brought into the picture, she pointed out.  While it was being alleged that there was a secret pact between the Congress and the YSRCP events indicate that there was a clear nexus between the TDP and the Congress, she said. It appeared as though the ED was trying to influence the court through its actions, she said.
