E-Vahan Bima launched in Telangana
Hyderabad: E-Vahan Bima scheme, an online vehicle insurance scheme, has been launched by Telangana IT & Panchyat Raj Minister K.Rama Rao on Saturday. This is the first such initiative anywhere in India.
After launching the website of E-Vahan Bhima scheme, IT Minister KTR said the policy was initiated with the joint collaboration of Transport, Police and IT Departments under the directions of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA).
He also stated that the world’s biggest ‘Global Delivery Centre’ would be established in Hyderabad city by Fugistu Company with the partnership of Sify Technologies Ltd. Rs. 135crore would be spent for this venture and nearly 3,000 jobs would be created by the set up of Global Delivery Centre, he said.
