Drunken Man Suspects Wife’s Fidelity, Kills 3-Year-Old Child

Hyderabad: A three-year-old girl was beaten to death by a drunkard father at Jubilee Hills on Sunday.

Police said that the person, identified as Suresh, killed the child Keerti suspecting his wife's fidelity. Suresh, who works as a watchman has been taken into custody and will be produced in court Monday.

"Suresh was angry when the child didn’t come to him when he called her. Then he took Keerti outside home, slapped her and pressed against the wall," said Jubilee Hills inspector S Venkat Reddy.

Keerti bled profusely and succumbed in few minutes.

“We have shifted the body for post-mortem and based on the complaint lodged by the child's mother, we have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the IPC," said Venkat Reddy.

The couple got married three years ago and resided at an apartment on Road Number 23 in Jubilee Hills.

Suresh suspected that his wife has an extra-marital affair and used to harass her daily.
