Drunk Tech Students Vandalise Ten Cars in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Residents in Beeramguda near BHEL who were sleeping peacefully were rudely awakened on Tuesday night by what seemed like shattering glass. When they peeped out of their windows they were shocked to see few drunken students vandalising the parked cars out there.

Six engineering students were arrested by the police based on the clues given by the residents of the colony. They had previously fled from the scene after residents were alerted to their unruly behavior.

Police reveal that the students had come to celebrate the birthday of one of their friends and had got heavily drunk. They arrested Aravind, Vishnu Vardhan, Shivram, Shaik Abdul, Vinay and Mukesh and produced them in court.

Police said the arrested were students of various engineering colleges but were all residents of Sai Colony in Mayur Nagar and had come to celebrate Vinay’s birthday that night. According to the police after they got drunk, at about 1 AM, they began to vandalise the cars that were parked in the colony before the residents reacted and informed the police.

About 10 cars were vandalised, the police said. They are investigating the case.
