'Drunk' police kills three-month-old baby in Medak - Sakshi Post

In a shocking incident, an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) allegedly killed a three-month-old baby in Dubbaka mandal of Medak district.

According to reports, ASI Pasha went to Yellayya, the infant's father's house, in  Habsipur in inebriated condition, in connection with a land dispute case. He wanted to get Yellayya with him to the police station, but was stopped by his wife, who was carrying the three-month-old baby.

He attacked the woman, and pushed her down. In the melee, the baby, Nikita, was injured.  She was rushed to a nearby  hospital, but succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.

The relatives refused to cremate the body, and along with the body are protesting in front of the Dubbaka police station, demanding the arrest of the ASI.

Police, however are saying that they will wait for the postmortem report before taking any action. The accused is absconding.
