Dollar Seshadri's term extended in TTD

The term of Dollar Seshadri, Officer on Special Duty at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam atop Tirumala, was extended for a period of another two years.

Seshadri has been working as OSD in the temple for the last eight years on contract basis.

The TTD decision to extend the contract is facing severe criticism. Seshadri, who has retired long ago, has been on an extension for the past eight years.

Seshadri earned the nick name Dollar after some dollars bearing images of Lord Venkateswara went missing during his tenure. However, he was given a clean chit and there are allegations that Sheshadri has leveraged his connections with the VIPs to secure a clean chit.
