Dog bite victims stage dharna at hospital  in Anantapur - Sakshi Post

A mad dog became the unlikely cause for unrest in Penugonda hospital in Anantapur district.

On Thursday, a rabid dog went on a biting spree on the streets of Penugonda. It bit four persons and chased several more. If forced many persons to run for their lives.
The injured patients rushed to the government hospital to get the first aid. But the doctors in the hospital referred them to a private hospital in Bangalore.
Irked by this, the dog bite victims and their relatives staged a protest in front of the hospital. They alleged that how could they refer to another hospital without giving any treatment. The condition of two victims is stated to be critical.
After the protests, the hospital authorities began treating the patients in Penugonda itself.
Meanwhile, the groups of locals chased the dog and have beaten to death.
