Doctors Declare New Born Twins Dead, One Baby Found Alive Moments Before Burial

The doctors declared twins dead and handed over them to their parents in a plastic bag. But, the parents found that one of the babies, purported to be dead, is actually alive. They rushed the baby to another hospital. This horrifying case of negligence on the part of the upmarket Max Hospital in Shalimar Bagh area of the national capital has shocked everyone.

The twins, born on Thursday, were declared dead and were handed over to the parents for burial. However, the parents were shocked to find that one of the babies was squirming in the bag.

The doctor, who is responsible for this shocking negligence has been sent on leave, Max Healthcare said in a statement. "We are shaken and concerned at this rare incident. We have initiated a detailed enquiry, pending which, the concerned doctor has been asked to proceed on leave immediately. We are in constant touch with the parents and are providing all the needed support," the statement said.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Minister Piyush Goel expressed shock at the gross negligence. Delhi police are investigating.
