Doctor accused of shooting colleague, blames others, ends life
The shootout between three doctors in Himayathnagar of Hyderabad is turning out be no less than a suspense thriller.
The doctor, who is supposed to have shot his doctor colleague and business partner Dr Uday, was found dead in a farm house belonging to another lady and the suicide note found by his side blamed another doctor for the shootout.
On Monday evening, Dr Uday was shot at while travelling in a car by his colleague. Initially, it was believed that his business partner Dr Shashikumar had shot him. Shashikumar fled to the farmhouse of one Chandrakala. However, on seeing Shashikumar's image on the TV, she informed the police that he was in her farmhouse.
When the police went to the farmhouse only to find Dr Shashikumar in a pool of blood. He apparently shot himself. A suicide note found at the spot said he did not shoot Dr Uday and that another friend of his, Saikumar, had shot him. He said he ran away in fear.
Dr Shashi also asked his wife and kids to forgive him and said he was framed in the incident. He also mentioned that two more doctors were responsible for his death. The police recovered four bullets from the spot.
Financial disputes are believed to be the reason behind the shooting and the doctor fled the scene after firing and critically injuring Uday. Both the doctors are reportedly directors of Glorial Hospital in Madhapur.
Meanwhile, the condition of Dr Uday, who is being treated at the Apollo hospital in Hyderguda, continues to be critical.
