DL meets Governor, Speaker on Dharmana issue
Most of the ministers demanded Chief Minister Kiran Kuamr Reddy that the government should reject the CBI request to prosecute Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao in a case pertaining to Vanipic land allotments but Health Minister Ravindra Reddy has a different opinion from that of the Cabinet.
To convey this dissent to Governor E S L Narasimhan, the Health Minister met him personally on Wednesday in Hyderabad.
Sources said DL reportedly told the Governor that he was opposed to the denying of permission to the CBI to prosecute Dharmana.
DL also met Speaker Nadendla Manohar in the afternoon and told him that he would not be attending the Special Assembly session to be held on November 30 and December 01 citing personal issues.
