Digvijay consulting T leaders on AP's future?
Andhra Pradesh In charge of Congress Affairs, Digvijay Singh is meeting leaders from Telangana region to know the consequences if a leader from Seemandhra region is appointed as the next chief minister.
As per the reports, Telangana leaders informed Digvijay Singh that the prospects of the party would be weakened in Telangana if a Seemandhra leader is appointed in place of Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Telangana leaders advised Digvijay that it would be better to form two states immediately and appoint the chief ministers for both the states.
It has to be seen whether Congress high command will move towards appointing the successor for Kiran Kumar Reddy or impose President’s rule in the state.
However, Congress might impose President’s rule in the state for the time being with the intention of avoiding the dissident activities at a time when the next general elections are going to be held shortly.
It can be concluded that it will be a difficult thing for Congress party to choose between the two alternatives.
