Despite Exclusive Tie-up With Amazon, Flipkart Offers OnePlus 3 At Rs 18,999 on Saturday

Hyderabad: Flipkart is selling OnePlus 3 at a rock-bottom price of Rs18,999 on Saturday at 11.59pm, which actually is priced at Rs 27,999. Flipkart released a teaser to this discount offering of Rs 9,000 on the handset.

Calling it a 'Big Shopping Days', it offers the price in the backdrop of holiday season.

However, one of the co-founder of OnePlus Carl Pei reacted to the special promotion of Flipkart on his Twitter handle.

“@_sachinbansal brother, what's this? We're exclusive with @amazonIN,” Carl Pei tweeted.

The OnePlus India team issued a statement on this, “OnePlus is focused on creating premium flagship smartphones. We have an exclusive partnership withAmazon in India. We advise customers to purchase OnePlus products only through official channels as we cannot guarantee the authenticity of the products sold elsewhere.”

Meanwhile, Flipkart gave a clarification stating, “"Flipkart is a marketplace that helps sellers connect with customers across the country. All our sellers are mandated to adhere to stringent guidelines. The prices and discounts for all our sales are decided by the participating sellers and brands."

Given that OnePlus 3 has an exclusive tie-up with Amazon, questions remain over whether the discounted handsets are refurbished ones and whether the handsets come with a warranty.
