Despite Chandrababu's Phone Call, TDP Stalwart Joins TRS - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader, former minister K Vijayarama Rao has formally joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Saturday. He had resigned from the TDP on Friday.

Vijayarama Rao formally joined the TRS after meeting IT minister K Tarakarama Rao. Sources indicate that the TRS might offer Vijayarama Rao's daughter Annapurna a respectable position in the party. In view of the upcoming GHMC polls there is also speculation that she would be offered a key role after the GHMC elections.
To stop Vijayarama Rao from joining the TRS, TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu called him up on Saturday morning. But, Vijayarama Rao appeared to have already made up his mind. He is reported to be holding consultations with TRS leaders, including Harish Rao on joining the party for quite sometime.
Ironically, in 1999 the TDP welcomed Vijayarama Rao into the party fold and made him a minister, denying KCR a cabinet berth. Irked KCR then left TDP and formed the TRS.
