Desperate To Get Married, Man Steals Rs13 Lakh From Neighbor’s House

Hyderabad: A 20-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for stealing Rs13 lakh from his neighbor at Tadbund.

The accused Mohammed Yousuf Khan is working as a cook at a local restaurant. Khan's wedding was fixed and he did not have enough money to meet the expenses. He asked his boss to lend him some money for the marriage. As the owner refused to lend him money, he stole some from the house of a local trader. On Sunday night, the accused sneaked into the trader's house from the first floor of the building which is under construction and stole all the cash and gold from the house when the house owner's family was in a deep sleep. While he was escaping, the house owner woke up and tried to chase him. But, he pushed him and locked the front door from outside and ran away.

Based on a complaint of the house owner, the police traced the victim and recovered Rs11 lakh from his house.
