Deserving Sections of Kapus Will Be Included in BCs in Due Process

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday reiterated that his government is committed to include the deserving sections of Kapus into BCs after due constitutional process.Addressing the media after convening an emergency meeting with cabinet colleagues and officials in the wake of large scale violence at Tuni in East Godavari, chief minister said Kapus resorting to such uncivilized activities was painful and unfortunate. "I strongly condemn these incidents and appeal to Kapus to maintain peace and patience," he said and invited a debate on the issue of inclusion of Kapus in the BCs.

Chandrababu said the process of inclusion of Kapu community in BCs is going on. If done hurriedly, it won't stand in the court and it will negatively impact the interests of the community, he said. He expressed shock over the people of East and West Godavari districts resorting to violence as they are known for their peaceful lifestyle and called upon the people not to fall prey to the political vested interests who are provoking people without basis and reason. He said the violent forces will be dealt with iron hand to ensure peace and normalcy in the state.
