Depression in Bay of Bengal, mild rains in A.P.
The depression over central Bay of Bengal is moving north-northwestwards for the past six hours and is intensifying into a deep depression.
The IMD released a bulletin which said that the deep depression lay centered at about 700 km south-southeast of Paradip over central Bay of Bengal near latitude 14.00 N and longitude 87.00 E at 0830 hours on Thursday. It would move northwestwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm during the next 24 hours.
It would then move west-northwestwards towards Andhra Pradesh coast. It would weaken gradually into a depression while reaching near the coast on November 8 night. Under its impact, the state may experience mild rain on November 8 and 9.
