Depressed over sister's death, brother commits suicide

Eluru: Unable to bear his sister's death, a youth ended his life on Wednesday by jumping on a railway track in front of a speeding train at Eluru in West Godavari.

According to police, Yamini went out with her friends on Tuesday evening and came home late. Her mother admonished her for going out late evening. Dejected by mother's scolding, the girl committed suicide by consuming pesticide the same night.

Yamini's brother Vara Prashanth, a B Tech student, got depressed over his sister's death. After finishing Yamini's rituals on Wednesday, he didn't go home. He went out since then and took the extreme step on Wednesday afternoon. The mother is seriously depressed over the loss of her two children in two days.
