Denikaina 'ready' to be censored
The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday delivered its verdict in the case of controversy created by Telugu flick 'Denikaina Ready'.
Pronouncing its verdict, the court directed the producer to remove from the movie two scenes that were considered objectionable. It may be recalled that a PIL was filed in the court against the movie for hurting the sentiments of the Brahmin community.
Court also said that entire story should be taken into consideration not one or two scenes. The court also directed the petition to bring to its notice about any objectionable content instead of creating a ruckus in theaters.
The movie must entertain the masses but not hurt the sentiments of any community, the producer was told.
The movie that had Vishnu Manchu and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles had drawn flak from Brahmin community soon after its release. Some organisations had organised widespread protests alleging some portion of the movie hurt their sentiments.
