Demolitions in Greenfield Colony

The Greenfield Colony issue took a new turn as the court issued orders to demolish the illegal constructions.

Following the court orders, illegal constructions were being demolished in the controversial Greenfield Colony at Always today amid tight security. A lawyer S Chandrasekhar moved court alleging former Minister Sankara Rao’s hand in the encroachments in the colony.
It may be recalled that charges were framed against Sankar Rao and he was arrested on the issue. He was hospitalized following a high drama. Now, the demolitions were taken up in the colony on the court orders.
