Demolish illegal constructions : KCR

Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has ordered the authorities to act tough on illegal constructions and land encroachments in the areas under the GHMC.

He asked the officials how  such illegal connections could get power and water supply. He told the officials to demolish the illegal constructions on Gurukul Trust lands and take the help of police if needed.

However, KCR advised the officials to keep in mind the orders of the High Court while taking up clearance and demolition drives.

The chief minister conducted a review meeting on Monday with the officials of GHMC and police officials in Hyderabad.

Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma reviewed the Maoist problem in the state. State DGP Anurag Sharma and other senior police officials were present.

Chief Secretary also reviewed the matter of arranging barricades between the secretariats of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
