Delhi Bizman Killed In Bike Race, Video Goes Viral
New Delhi: A 24-year-old businessman, who was overspeeding, rammed into the side of the road while trying to escape hitting a pedestrian crossing the road and died on the spot. The incident occurred on Monday night at Sikandra Road in the city.
Himanshu Bansal, a resident of Vivek Vihar in Delhi had taken part in a bike race which was arranged on the empty road heading to Pragathi Maidan in Delhi. During the race, Himanshu tried to save a pedestrian, who was crossing the road but he ended up in hitting the pedestrian’s hand and lost control of the bike and fell on the ground. The old pedestrian also sustained minor injuries.
Bansal was immediately shifted to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Footage of the bike racing and accident was recorded by Bansal's friend Lakshay, who fitted the camera to his helmet to record the racing.
