Defiant RGV Taunts Radhakrishna To Make ‘Real’ Vangaveeti
Hyderabad: Controversial film director Ram Gopal Varma on Monday taunted Vangaveeti Radhakrishna, son of slain Kapu leader Vangaveeri Mohana Ranga that he had more respect for Ranga than both son Radhakrishna and wife Ratnakumari.
He also said that if they feel that as a director he had wronged in depicting Ranga, they could very well make a film titled the 'Real Vangaveeti' to present their version of the story. He also said that the film was a depiction of the events of those days.
It may be recalled that Radhakrishna, also the YSRCP's Vijayawada city president, had expressed his displeasure on Ranga's characterisation in the movie and alleged that Varma had deviated from facts. Radha warned Varma that he will have to pay for this distortion. He said that he had lodged a complaint with the police on the issue. Radha had also objected to the way in which his parents' marriage was depicted. The Human Rights Commission (HRC) had also directed the Andhra Pradesh DGP to submit a report on the film by January 16.
