Deeply saddened by the Godavari Pushkarlu stampede: Chiranjeevi

Hyderabad: Congress leader and Tollywood Mega Star Chiranjeevi on Tuesday expressed his grief over Rajahmundry Pushkara Ghat stampede in which 29 people died and many were injured.

Here are the key points from the Mega Star’s interaction with the media

·        I expected the government to provide the basic amenities

·         I was shocked to see the stampede visuals on television.  It was disheartening

·         Government should held responsible for the stampede

·         Chandrababu Naidu’s PR exercise is not going to help him to get away from this time

·         Stampede took place in the very first hour of the beginning of Godavari Pushkaram

·         Facilities provided at the Pushkaram Ghat are not in line with the custom

·         How could an inexperienced person be appointed as advisor for the arrangement?

·         Next of kin of the each dead should be given an ex-gratia of Rs25 lakh

·         Its left to Chief Minister's discretion if or not to resign owning moral responsibility for the mishap
